“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” (common saying that originated from a Chinese proverb). My son Arin has a dream of “#millionbooksformillionkids”. He wants to collect pre-loved books from kids all over India and distribute them to libraries of children homes and schools so that the kids who can’t buy books can also read and enjoy them.
We started collecting books in January and we now have 300 plus books and more coming. We did our first distribution of our books to Maher Ashram, Pune and the joy and smile gave us clear massage that this dream is worth pursuing.
Our next milestone is collecting and distributing 1000 books. #india
A big personal #lessonslearned for me as a #parents is that never underestimate the dreams and ideas of a child.
